Horse Riding Lessons

At Barefoot Farms Equestrian, our lesson program is designed to help riders of all ages and experience levels build confidence, improve communication, and develop strong foundational riding skills in a supportive and structured environment.

Whether you are brand new to horses or looking to continue developing your riding abilities, lessons are tailored to the individual rider’s goals, experience level, and comfort both in and out of the saddle.

Lessons are designed to be educational, supportive, and goal-oriented while maintaining a positive learning environment for riders and horses alike.

Depending on experience level, lessons may include:

  • Basic horsemanship and horse handling

  • Grooming and tacking

  • Riding fundamentals

  • Balance, control, and rider confidence

  • Groundwork and communication

  • Trail and real-world exposure when appropriate

Our goal is to help riders gain confidence, improve their skills, and develop safe, effective partnerships with horses.

Lesson Options

Group Lessons 

Fun and focused group rides for all levels of students. These are available during select weekday afternoons and evenings (after 4 PM). Great for social riders and building confidence with peers.

Private Lessons

One-on-one instruction tailored to your goals. Perfect for working on specific areas or advancing your skill set in a certain discipline. Limited availability , please inquire for scheduling.

Specialized Lessons 

If you're an advanced rider looking to specialize in a particular discipline such as barrel racing, jumping, or extreme trail riding, these lessons are perfect for you. They're designed to help you take your riding to the next level and prepare you for serious competition. With these lessons, you'll have all the skills you need to succeed.
